ElevenLabs is well known by AI content creators as the best text-to-voice and voice synthesis tool available. When ElevenLabs announced their new dubbing capabilities, naturally I had to take a look! I wasn't disappointed.
ElevenLabs' dubbing tool lets you upload your audio or video content and translate it into 90+ languages, keeping each speaker's voice, emotion, and timing, and even the original background audio.
That's the dubbing screen from when I first tested it. ElevenLabs' interface looks quite different now, but the workflow is the same.
To get started simply upload your audio or video file, select the target language, and let the AI work its magic. The end result? A naturally sounding, authentically dubbed video ready to share with a global audience.
You can even paste links from YouTube, TikTok, or a direct video URL, which makes it even easier!
For longer projects, ElevenLabs built a Dubbing Studio where you can fix the transcript and translation line by line, reassign speakers, and regenerate individual clips.
Heads up though: ElevenLabs has put Dubbing Studio in maintenance mode. Its newer automatic dubbing engine (Dubbing v2, still labelled alpha) is where the 90+ languages live, but it has no in-app editor, so check your dubs before you publish. Dubs made on the free plan also carry a watermark.
Investors clearly rate it too. After an $80 million Series B in January 2024, ElevenLabs raised a $500 million Series D at an $11 billion valuation in February 2026.
Given the extremely high-quality capabilities of ElevenLabs' range of AI voice modulation products, I found the dubbing tool to be just as good - upholding their reputation. Compared to the other AI dubbing products available, ElevenLabs is by far the best on the market. For the full deep dive, read my ElevenLabs review.
